Shadow Work Investigations, LLC and its founder, Kerry McQuisten (PI-ID #74400), are based in Baker City, OR.

Raised far off the grid on a cattle ranch in Baker County, McQuisten went on to live in places like Spain and Japan before returning stateside to settle in Seattle for a while.

Once in Seattle, she put her International Relations degree to work in both the publishing and international engineering industries where she rose to the level of corporate vice president.

After returning to Baker City, she started her own publishing company in 2007, Black Lyon Publishing, LLC, which is now known across the globe for its quality books and authors.

While Black Lyon was in its infancy, she moonlighted for a now defunct weekly newspaper. Years later, McQuisten operated another weekly newspaper, The Baker County Press, under the umbrella of Black Lyon. In that role, she honed her investigative journalism skills

while covering the law enforcement beat.

In 2018, McQuisten made the decision to focus Black Lyon only on book publishing again, but the idea to carry her investigative skills on a case-by-case basis over into the P.I. arena also started to take shape.

McQuisten is professionally known for her sharp intuition, consistent accuracy, and confidentiality.
